Lycian Way Trek Overview
We trek in the most beautiful coastal area of the Turkish Mediterranean laying between Marmaris and Antalya. Know to the ancients as Lycia this fabled coast of clear turquoise blue water is rich with archeological sites. Fragrant pine forests tumble down a backcloth of mountain slopes to end abruptly in red cliffs, secret coves and sandy beaches. We visit splendid Greco Roman ruins of the Lycian period: Caunos, Letoon, Pinara… This program gives a unique opportunity to experience authentic Turkish village life, with several nights spent in remote mountain villages, where you stay as guest. A cruising day to the Kekova Island, complete your journey before joining Istanbul a city linking two continents. With its excellent climate, guaranteed sunshine, this delightful coastal offers to spend holidays trekking in a culture-history nature combining area.

Lycian Way Trek: Day 1 Antalya

Mount Ararat 4200m
On arrival in Antalya airport you will be met by your driver and tour guide. We will check in at our hotel in the Old City district of Antalya

Lycian Way Trek: Day 2 Antalya – Hisancandir – Göynük

Mount Ararat 4200m
We take a transfer from Antalya to the beginning point of the walk, 75 (mnts). Walk through Hisarcandir traverse to beginning of the valley down to Goynuk.
5 - 6 hours trekking time.
Stay at a pretty pension in Goynuk.

Lycian Way Trek: Day 3 Gedelme

Mount Ararat 4200m
We start directly from the pension today. We walk up gorge over switchback ridges beneath pine trees, with excellent views to pasture and orchards, It is possible to swim where the river forms a nice pool near our lunch spot. We meet our vehicle near a ranch (850m) from where we transfer back to our pension in Gedelme.
6 hours trekking time.
Stay at pension in Gedelme.

Lycian Way Trek: Day 4 Yayla Kuzdere

Mount Ararat 4200m
We transfer to ranch where we left the walk the day before. Then we trek to Gedelme and have lunch at the restaurant next to our pension. We explore a Roman castle and walk to a village house at Yayla Kuzdere. (900m). Transfer back to Gedelme for dinner and overnight.
Stay at pension in Gedelme.

Lycian Way Trek: Day 5 Cirali

Mount Ararat 4200m
We transfer to Yayla Kuzdere where we finished yesterdays walk. We start with a steady climb up a stream bed to the pastures of Cukur Yayla, just below Mount Olympos. We climb the pass from here. (1950m) (4-5 hrs). Then we descend via mule path to the village of Beycik (900m). (2-3 hours) where we meet our transfer to our pension in Cirali.

Lycian Way Trek: Day 6 Cirali - Olympos

Mount Ararat 4200m
Free day at Cirali/Olympos. After breakfast is the optional exploration of the ruins of Olympos. This ancient city, which gets its name from its view of Mount Olympos, was built on the banks of a river flowing into the sea at Cirali, which is a long sandy beach. After lunch we have some free time until dinner. You can swim and lie on the beach or do other activities as you wish. After dinner we make a short night walk to admire the eternal flames of Chimerea in the dark. Overnight at the same pension.

Lycian Way Trek: Day 7 Adrasan

Mount Ararat 4200m
Trek over Musa Dag (650m) to Adrasan (0m). Walk through the city of Olympos and up Musa Dag (Moses mountain), descend through forest, past deserted farmhouses to a pension near the sea at Adrasan.
Supper and night in pension.
8 hours trekking time.

Lycian Way Trek: Day 8 Kizil Sirt – Gelidonia Lighthouse

Mount Ararat 4200m
Adrasan via Kizil Sirt (450m) to Gelidonia Lighthouse (200m).We start from the pension and walk gently rising slope untill we come to a pass. After that the path is parallel to the sea with great views of islands. Then we descent to the lighthouse where time seems to stand still. We transfer back to Adrasan to the same pension.

Lycian Way Trek: Day 9 Karaoz – Ucagiz

Mount Ararat 4200m
We transfer by vehicle to Finike for lunch. After lunch we transfer to Kapakli. From here we walk to the ruined Castle of Simena, which is surrounded by a tiny fishing village today. Then onto Ucagiz-seaside pension (2 nights).

Lycian Way Trek: Day 10 Kilincli – Ucagiz

Mount Ararat 4200m
We transfer to the village of Kilincli, climb to Apollonia to explore ruins; descent over mule paths to seaside ruins of Aperlae. After a swimming break and a short coastal walk (6 hrs) we are picked up by boat. We take a short cruise over a sunken city, supper on boat and return to our pension at Ucagiz.

Lycian Way Trek: Day 11 Bogazkoy – Ulu Burun

Mount Ararat 4200m
We transfer to the village of Bogazkoy. We walk past Roman watchtowers to the beach. Make a swimming break and a seaside walk to a beach near Ulu Burun, site of a bronze-age shipwreck. (6-7 hrs). Here we will meet with the boat again and have barbecue supper.
We can camp or sleep on boat.

Lycian Way Trek: Day 12 Ulu Burun – Kas

Mount Ararat 4200m
We have a short walk for today on coastal paths with many opportunities for swimming breaks. We will have lunch at Limanagzi where our walk ends and transfer by boat to Kas. Opportunity to visit local market.

Lycian Way Trek: Day 13 Kas

Mount Ararat 4200m
Free day in Kas with opportunities for diving, canoeing, paragliding or just shopping and swimming. Celebration dinner in smart local restaurant.

Lycian Way Trek: Day 14 Antalya

Mount Ararat 4200m
3.5 hour transfer from Kas to Antalya.
